AMCT is a non-partisan public service organization dedicated to acting as a watchdog for the citizenry of Monroe County, Indiana. Some of AMCT's mandates include:

• Ascertaining the real fiscal impact of public policy decisions. Publish the results in public forums such as this web page.
• Commenting on public budgets and expenditures. Communicating that information to the public.
• Communicate to the public on the activities of government and corporations.

Our focus is on any issue whatsoever in which public funds, provided by Monroe County taxpayers, are utilized. Membership in the AMCT is currently free.

AMCT positions and editorials are often controversal, usually sardonic, and occasionally tongue-in-cheek. Whenever possible, the editorial content of AMCT will attempt to inform while keeping a smile on our collective faces. The misappropriation of your money by the state on the behalf of corporate interests is a serious topic but that doesn't mean we can't keep a sense of humor while skewering everyone's, and we mean everyone's, sacred cows from time to time.
